about

When I began working on this record in October 2011, I wanted to create an album of about 30 minutes that would feature some short Ambient tracks, scraps and ideas. Fast forward to February 2012, I release a record that, during it’s 9 songs/60 minutes running time, not only manages to get the
dancefloors filled but at the same time, offers some of my most beautiful and fragile Ambient tunes to date: “20:34”!

“20:34” for the most part, is an album that dives deep into the various genres of dance music: the dub-influenced opener “Brimwall Flea Market”, the Krautrock-inspired nearly 12-minute “White Feathers”, the sample-laden, percussion-filled Techno of album-closer “Hamakunayq”. Inbetween these massive tracks, you can witness some warm and shimmering Ambient miniatures like “S1 nach Rathen” or “Berghof, Davos” that breathes the cool breeze of the Swiss Alps.
